DelTech is pleased to be working with Pinnacle Pellet on the construction of their newest pellet facility. The new “Meadowbank” plant is located near Strathnaver, BC.
Wood pellets are made from white wood waste, including sawdust and planer shavings. Pellets burn efficiently, and at high temperatures. Pellets are used primarily in Europe as an additive to coal fired power generation; helping to lower emissions by more than 20%. Pellet stoves are also becoming more popular in North America, and have been a staple in Scandinavian homes for decades. Pellets make use of wood waste only, and are of great value to the environment, while adding value to the lumber manufacturing process at the same time.

The foundations for Meadowbank are near finished, and fabrication of the actual plant is in the works. DelTech has detailed drawings for the final plant construction, and worked tirelessly with Nechako Mechanical, Nechako Construction, and Northwest Equipment Rentals to turn plans into a reality. With this new pellet facility, Pinnacle Pellet will create lasting jobs for the community, important diversification for the regional economy, and a positive impact on the environment.
