The BID Group of Companies has acquired Uneeda Wood Products in Chilliwack, BC.
Over the past 40 years, Uneeda has become one of the largest lumber remanufacturers in British Columbia. Annually, Uneeda is capable of producing 75 Mmfbm of finger joint lumber and 250 Mmfbm of custom processed lumber.

However, the dry kilns at Uneeda differentiate the operation from its competitors, and make it a valuable addition to the BID Group.
The computer-controlled low-pressure steam kilns can process 36 Mmfbm of kiln-dried lumber annually while remaining amongst the most energy-efficient in the industry as the kilns are fuelled from internally generated waste chips. This efficiency allows Uneeda to contribute to the green initiative of the BID Group.

The BID Group believes that the addition of Uneeda will contribute to maintaining the companies’ reputation of delivering quality products on time to its customers, while continuing to strive towards its green initiatives.
